The purpose of the Field Office Coordinator is to manage and oversee the day to day support functions at a field office, by:

- Providing sufficient support to relevant program in the area of responsibility in direct coordination with support Staff, Program Coordinators, Project Managers, and partners.

- Leading and supporting support units and make sure that staff comply with NRC policies, procedures, guidelines and donor guidelines and lead all support related matters in duty of responsibility.

- Ensuring that all functions are running smoothly and providing high quality and efficient support to programme implementation

Job description

Manage day to day HR & Admin, finance, logistics and security tasks of the field office
Ensure optimal use of human resources in the support department, including review funding and budget for its smooth running
Ensure at all times that field office is updated on national regulations, templates and tools through regular contact with the Kabul Support Office
Monitor office maintenance and suggest action points
Ensure communication and understanding of national Staff Handbook, Code of Conduct and other regulations by all staff
Provides support and contributes towards the assessment and selection of NRC beneficiaries for the programmes.
Participate in meetings and coordination forums as required by NRC management.
Monitors and documents the implementation of project activities and participate as required in the monitoring and evaluation activities.
Provides direct support to the monitoring and evaluation team by reporting potential conflicts of interest, fraud, protection concerns, and any other matters that may affect NRC assistance.
Acts as the focal point of contact for NRC in the area with the public, beneficiaries, local authorities, charities, NGOs, and other stakeholders; and ensures to facilitate communication channels with NRC staff and management as needed.
Supports NRC safety and access staff in the collection of information and shares any details in a timely manner to ensure safety of staff, partners, and beneficiaries.
Provides support to multi-sector emergency response as required by NRC management.
Provides timely reports, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc as needed and requested by management.
Review monthly cash request to Yaoundé & monitor the level of cash flow and transfers

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 Years, Experience from working as field coordinator or support coordinator in a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal
Bachelor degree in Business or any related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office application mainly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of the context, use habit and local languages of the Duty area (South-west and North-West regions for Buea, and Logone and Chari for Kousseri)
Experience with start-up program

We offer

Beginning: September 2018
Duration of the contract: fixed term contract, 12 months with possibility of renewal according to the financing
Salary / Benefits: According to the NRC Salary Policy.
Duty station: 1 in Buea and 1 in Kousseri with 25% of field trips
