The position:

The Programme Associate is located in Country Office (CO) and reports to the Programme Specialist in Reproductive Health.

Job Purpose:

Under the overall guidance of the UNFPA Representative and direct supervision of RH Programme Specialist at UNFPA Country Office, the RH Programme Associate will assist the RH Programme Specialist in the provision of day to day technical inputs and advise on reproductive health in the context of the UNFPA’s 9th CP implementation. S/he will assist the RH Programme Specialist in maintain good coordination with government and non-government partners, other UN agencies  and Health donors; facilitate the FP2020 follow up; and work closely with Programme Management Unit in ensuring timely provision of technical inputs to the RH programme as per the approved AWPs.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

Education:  

• Secondary School education completion required. Bachelor’s degree in health, nursing, midwifery or other related social science is desirable. Candidate with medical background is preferable. 

Knowledge and Experience: 

• 7 years of relevant experience in public or private sector.  

• Solid understanding of reproductive health issues. 

• A sound knowledge/experience in working with Puskesmas, hospital or Ministry of Health (or health office at any level) would be an advantage. 

• Ability to liaise and affiliate with Government parners, UN agencies, Donors and NGOs working in the area of reproductive health programme. 

• Ability to work under pressure. 

• Ability to work well in a cross cultural team and environment. 

• Proficiency in current computer office software applications. 

• Excellent communication and human relation skills. 

Languages:

Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required.
