About VSO

VSO is the world's leading independent international development organisation that works through volunteers to fight poverty in developing countries. Our high-impact approach brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, promote international understanding and action to change lives and make the world a fairer place.

Role overview

International Citizen Service (ICS) is an innovative youth programme led by VSO and funded by UK Government. The programme supports 18-25 year olds from the UK to work alongside in-country volunteers on projects aimed at improving the lives of some of the world's poorest people.

The Partnerships Advisor ICS will develop strategic partnerships to increase awareness and drive recruitment for the ICS programme, with a particular focus on reaching under-represented groups to ensure ICS recruits a diverse cohort of volunteers.

Skills, qualifications and experience

Your relationship management skills will ensure you can represent VSO and its partners on the ICS programme to develop senior strategic recruitment partnerships. Your knowledge of the youth sector will ensure you can access networks that will drive diverse volunteers to take part in the ICS programme. Your collaboration skills and ability to work across teams and organisations will ensure ICS partners are coordinated effectively.
