Under the supervision of the Chief of Operations, manage HACT and partnership related activities in Jordan Country Office, including the supervision of GS7 Quality Assurance Assistant in a large size country office in accordance with the HACT policy, and consistent with JCO Country Programme Management Plan.

Purpose

Under the supervision of the Chief of Operations, manage HACT and partnership related activities in Jordan Country Office, including the supervision of GS7 Quality Assurance Assistant in a large size country office in accordance with the HACT policy, and consistent with JCO Country Programme Management Plan.

How can you make a difference?

The HACT Officer’s main responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:  

  1. Ensure proper implementation of JCO HACT Assurance Plan.
  2. Organise the conduct of micro Assessment, spot checks and HACT audit as per the approved HACT Assurance Plan.
  3. Periodically conduct spot checks of partners.
  4. Review each MA report, spot check report and audit and identify capacity building requirement for each partner.
  5. Support the capacity building of partners based on identified gaps from the various assurance activities.
  6. Provide regular HACT training for new staff and partners in the areas of HACT and partnership management.
  7. Provide regular guidance to programme colleagues on the proper management of risk and partnership budgets.
  8. Supervise the work of the GS7 Senior Quality Assurance Assistant.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education: A first University Degree in in Accounting, Business Administration or other relevant disciplines (International Relations, Economics, etc.). Additional professional training is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional work experience in finance, audit, quality assurance or other relevant areas is required. Field work experience is an asset.
  • Background/familiarity with Emergency is an asset.
  • UNICEF/UN experience is an added valueDeveloping country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.

Languages: Fluency in English is and Arabic is required.
