He or she will lead interdisciplinary research projects, analyze basin and sub-basin water resources management interventions, and provide leadership in conceptual and empirical research related to improving water resources management in West Africa.
We are looking for candidates with a Ph.D. in hydrology, water resources management, hydro-ecology or a related discipline, and experience in a broad field of water resources management with a focus on interactions in the water-energy-food-environment nexus in Africa. Candidates should preferably also have experience and skills in climate change modeling, integration of climate change scenarios into hydrological and water resource models, and knowledge of downscaling techniques for climate data from General Circulation Models (GCMs). Candidates should have strong experience in project management, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and a demonstrated ability to write, publish and disseminate technical reports.
