ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

IT Solutions Associate will report directly to the Business Transformation Officer responsible for Beneficiary Services for Partners who is based at the Country Office in the Beneficiary Services Team.

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will perform activities and analytical work of a reasonable level of complexity to support partners and maintain contacts with internal and external counterparts to surface beneficiary and transfer management requests that require technology solutions.  Incumbent will use their technical knowledge and experience to assist in gathering and analysing partner needs, and supporting solution delivery.

Understand partner requests and operating environment in order to contribute to the transformation of their requirements into solutions exploiting technology capabilities and focusing on partner satisfaction.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Contribute to capturing, analysis and documentation (i.e. through diagrams, flowcharts, data models, user experience designs, storyboards) of business requirements for technology solutions and services.
  • Work with more senior team members to communicate business requirements to business counterparts, for a shared understanding of the requirements and effective implementation of strategies/plans.
  • Contribute to the baselining and tracking of business requirements through to implementation for efficient management of change.
  • Test and analyse technology solutions and document the match against business requirements for quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain contacts with business counterparts to bring surface their request into the Technology Unit and keep them informed of actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date the catalogue of beneficiary technology solutions and services solutions offered to partners, including current, retired and those in the pipeline to support effective knowledge management.
  • Review how technology service levels align with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for solutions or services focused on the partners and alert service managers of discrepancies. Assist to survey partner satisfaction with technology solutions and services for beneficiary and transfer management.
  • Support project managers in managing estimates, business cases, planning, risk identification, issue management for the effective delivery of technology solutions.
  • Adhere to processes and procedures for Business Relationship Management, Business Analysis and IT Project Management functions to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Provide training in beneficiary and transfer management solutions and services.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary qualification at certificate, diploma or degree level in mathemetics, statistics, computer science, information management, finance or economics.

Language: Proficiency in English, Kurdish is highly desired, Arabic and other UN Languages are assets.

Experience: Five years or more proven experience in business relationship management, business process analysis and innovation ideation, technology solution design and digital transformation project management.  Experience with government partnership engagement will be an added advantage..

  • Experience with digital transformation (DT) approaches and role of emerging or new information technologies to achieve DT of traditional business.
  • Ability to conduct process and system architecture development, analyse current designs for improvements and enhancements and specify any required changes.
  • Utilise working knowledge of project and change management approaches to collect and analyse relevant data from multiple stakeholders to develop evidence based business case for change.
  • Exhibit thorough understanding of processes to define, prioritize and customize technology solutions to requirements.
  • Facilitate open communication and discussion with clients to assess and promote understanding of need for future changes in services, products and systems, resulting in overall client satisfaction.
  • Ability to quickly gain in-depth understanding of operational requirements, business issues and opportunities to conduct stakeholder and benefit analysis of options to identify effective and optimal automated/ non-automated solutions that meet business
