We currently implement 36 programs in 15 countries, valued at over $156 million, that aim to prevent conflict and promote peace, including a range of programs designed to improve sustainable natural resource practices, enhance cooperative natural resource management, and address natural resource conflict.

The focus of this internship is on capturing and sharing learning generated by Mercy Corps' field programs. The intern will work closely with Mercy Corps' HQ-based peace and conflict technical team and policy and advocacy team, as well as with selected field staff to draft impact briefs, regional overviews, thematic briefs, and case studies that highlight significant achievements and innovative approaches.
Drawing on this content, the intern will also support internal communications and knowledge sharing using Mercy Corps' internal digital platforms. Finally, the intern will support ongoing knowledge management activities, such as development of program impact summaries and tracking of Mercy Corps' global peace and conflict portfolio.

Examples of potential documents the intern will create include: regional overviews of peace and conflict programming in key regions such as the Middle East, West and Central Africa, and East Africa; Mercy Corps position paper on how to integrate peacebuilding into humanitarian programming; advocacy document about the role of women in peacebuilding and how donors should invest in that sector; or a discussion paper on Mercy Corps' P/CVE programming experience with advocacy points for donors and peer implementers.
