Job Title: Finance and Budget Officer

Type of contract: Jr. Consultant

Unit /Division: PGP

Duty station: Rome, HQ

Duration: 11 months

Background and purpose of assignment:

PGP is looking for a Jr consultant to work in the Finance team under the direct supervision of the Head of the Finance Unit. The selected candidate will work closely and liaise with PGP's Accounts Managers to review incoming donation documents before registering new grants in WINGS.

The incumbent will also be responsible for keeping track of the overall PGP budget.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities 

  • Register Grants (income) in WINGS from Private-sector partners in line with WFP rules & regulations after reviewing and attaching all supporting documentations. 
  • Review & Confirm all Salesforce opportunities raised by the partnership managers ensuring the details entered are correct
  • Manage the cycle of the cash and cheque donations received directly by the unit and reconcile periodically with the bank deposits. Assit in issuing invoices and tax receipts to donors.
  • Generate donor contributions report from WINGS on quarterly basis and provide statistics to supervisor for reporting purposes.
  • Provide assistance for the IRM Resource Migration Exercise as and when needed.
  • Follow up with the country offices and Units in HQ for the actualization of expeses for in-kind services.
  • Exchange correspondence with CO, RB, HQ for the query related to Grants Management.
  • Create and follow the Fund reservations for the PSA budget of PGP unit including Liaison offices.
  • Assist in the developing and inserting the data of management plan into the data base.
  • Monitor and generate report on monthly basis of the funding availability and ensure that budget code of expenditure is provided upon request.  Review and take proper action of  open items of all commitment/pre-commitment in WINGS.

Qualification and experience required:

Education:

  • First University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related fields.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in Finance and Accounts.
