The Position:

The Programme Analyst (Compliance) is located in Bangladesh Country Office (CO).

You will report directly to the Chief of Health.

Job Purpose:

The Programme Analyst assists in the design, planning and management of UNFPA’s country programme by analyzing relevant political, social and economic trends and providing inputs to project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks. The Programme Analyst assists with programme/ project implementation by using and developing appropriate mechanisms and systems and ensuring compliance with established procedures, as well as by monitoring results achieved during implementation.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:  

Advanced degree in health, population, demography and/or other related social science field.

Knowledge and Experience: 

Minimum of two years of professional experience in the field reproductive health, and health sector development activities required.

Understanding of UNFPA annual work plan processes including prior experience monitoring work plan implementation would be highly desirable. 

Experience working with ERP systems e.g. PeopleSoft (ATLAS) highly desirable

Experience in preparing financial reports for donors is highly desirable. 

Experience in budget analysis, allocation and monitoring execution would be an advantage.

Prior experience in doing spot checks and preparing for audits would be an asset.

Languages: 

Fluency in English and Bangla is required. Working knowledge of another UN language an asset.
