The Project Associate will provide project management and administrative support for Supporter Engagement Strategy (SES) project.

The overarching strategic goal of UNICEF’s Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD) is to transform and build partnerships with our stakeholders to successfully implement UNICEF programmes globally through the use of innovative technology-enabled solutions.

This position will be situation in the Business Relationships Management (BRM) team, reporting to the Senior BRM for the Partnerships Group. The BRMs act as account representatives dedicated to each one of UNICEF's four organizational groupings (Operations, Field results, Partnerships/Outreach, and Programmes). The key role of the BRM group is to manage and prioritize the business demand and strategic investments, assist client units in developing strong business cases while ensuring good working relationships and clear IT accountability. 

How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the Senior BRM for the Partnerships Group, the Project Associate will provide project management and administrative support for Supporter Engagement Strategy (SES) project. The incumbent prioritizes tasks and organizes work independently based on general direction from the supervisor and carries out a broad range of activities including but not limited to work planning, documentation management, reporting and logistics support.

This Temporary Appointment will be for a period of 364 days.

Key responsibilities:

Project planning and execution support: Research, analyze, verify, summarize and/or aggregate relevant qualitative and quantitative data. Draft or support development of documents, presentations, reports and proposals on program/project arrangements. Coordinate inputs from various stakeholders and follow up on the preparation of updates on activities, reports and reviews. Undertakes duties as directed / requested by the supervisor to support the delivery and implementation of project, as required.

Project documentation and reporting support: Prepares monitoring and reporting information in support of relevant portfolio efforts. Draft correspondence/ communications/ documentation, briefing notes and reports contributing to the achievement of project objectives. Under the direction of supervisor and/or project managers, maintain project portfolio document repository, including project team site and PPM tool as appropriate. Generate reports and dashboards.

Project and office administrative support: Arranges appointments and maintains supervisor’s calendar; organizes and manages project-related meeting logistics including taking responsibility for finalization of meeting agenda, invitations, meeting minutes, etc. Maintain calendar of travels and important events relevant to the project. Ensure that professional memberships are up-to-date. Help organize events, conference, webinars, etc.

To qualify as a champion for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible project support or administrative work experience is required. 
  • Fluency in English is required.
