Organizational Setting This position is located in the Mithi, Tharparkar Office of the FAO. The main aim of the FAO country offices, which are headed by an FAO Representative, is to assist governments to develop policies, programmes and projects to achieve food security and to reduce hunger and malnutrition, to help develop the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sectors and to use their environmental and natural resources in a sustainable manner. Reporting Lines Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative; and in close collaboration of Assistant FAO Representative-Programme (AFAOR) and Program Officer Resilience, the Field Facilitator will report to Project Coordinator in performance of the following tasks\: Tasks and responsibilities
General duties and expectations

- Graduate in Social Sciences and / or Agriculture related discipline
- Minimum 3 years relevant field experience, particularly in Livelihoods, Food Security and agricultural development projects.
- Working knowledge of English. Good knowledge of Urdu and Sindh;

- Knowledge of United Nations and International Organizations’ administrative policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of common administrative and financial rules and regulations

- Practical knowledge of Community Mobilization skills and management of Farmer Field Schools.
- Experience in communication and diffusion strategies and techniques, reporting, documentation
- Understanding of and competencies in participatory extension methods, training need assessments and development of capacity development plan
