Duties and Responsibilities

The intern will work for the Global Partnership Team under the Senior Advisor to UNDP Resident Representative’s supervision, to support the coordination and activities of the Team. The incumbent is expected to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

  • To support the strengthening of strategic partnerships with national and international financial institutions
  • To support the drafting of the 2018 UNDP-China Development Bank Report on the economic development along the Belt and Road.
  • To support the preparation of the Team’s various activities and research on themes including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and “Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)”.
  • To edit relevant research documents and provide support I the communication strategy of the team;
  • To perform other tasks as may be assigned by UNDP China.

Competencies

  • Self-motivated and responsible;
  • Good communication and sense of judgment;
  • Detail-oriented, preferably with previous administrative and office management experience;
  • Ability to work independently

Required Skills and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Economics, International Business, Finance, or related fields (outstanding undergraduate candidates are also considered);
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and preferably Mandarin;
  • Good computer and IT skills and experiences in using office software package.
