Senior Technical Learning Coordinator

ACDI/VOCA has approximately 50 projects in 30 countries and total revenues of approximately $174 million.

We are seeking a D.C.-based Senior Technical Learning Coordinator. This person will be responsible for providing highly proficient support to the Technical Learning & Application (TLA) division activities by generating information and assisting in the development of organizational and practice area initiatives. The Sr. Technical Learning Coordinator will provide on-going support for TLA’s governance roles with affiliated financial institutions, technical engagement with the Catalyzing Investment team, and development and packaging of tools and approaches.

Responsibilities

Primary activities include but are not limited to: participate as a technical resource for assigned projects; complete letter of assignment requests and documentation for fielding of consultants; prepare and submit procurement and contract paperwork in support of project activities; research and generate background reports tailored to specific needs; provide technical contributions to proposal efforts as technical writer or subject matter expert for climate smart agriculture; serve as proposal coordinator on proposal efforts; generate and present technical and financial information; annually support the development of the TLA departmental budget and facilitate the reporting of TLA employee estimated project LOE; contribute to the development and maintenance of TLA communication and knowledge management tools, including Share Point and FinData; support tool development with research, formatting, editing and tracking functions; and facilitate training sessions on technical and operational issues.

In addition, this person will conduct outreach and networking within the climate smart agriculture-related space to identify learning opportunities, developing trends and promising initiatives. They will also serve as principal contact with service providers for the AFI network and foster good working relationships that maximize service quality. The Sr. Technical Learning Coordinator will complete board resolutions and related documents for affiliated financial institutions, to specifications approved in advance. This person will also develop annual budgets for affiliated financial institution-related governance codes, as well as assist with tracking budgets, burn rates, and obligations for expenses related to our affiliated financial institutions. Additionally, this person will be responsible for maintaining official records for our governance functions with affiliated financial institutions and will be required to generate financial analysis charts on a quarterly basis using FinData.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Agriculture, Financial, Economics, Business Administration or a related field, with some work experience in an office setting. Candidates should have demonstrated knowledge in international development topics. Candidates must also have proficiency in multi-media applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs. Fluency in English is required. Additional French/Spanish skills are desired.
