The Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP) sits within UNHCR's Division of External Relations (DER) and is responsible for mobilizing resources from the private sector for refugees. UNHCR have developed a $1 Billion Private Sector Fundraising Strategy 2018-2025. This strategy focuses on both Individual Giving and Private Partnerships and Philanthropy (PPH) and identifies priority fundraising markets and regions. As part of this strategy corporates, foundations and high net worth donors have been identified as key areas of PSP growth with a target to double current income from PPH to USD 300 million by 2025.

As an integral Section of PSP, PPH raises funds from corporations, foundations and HNWIs against an ambitious target. PPH does this through an established network of fundraisers located across five regions (Africa, Americas, Asia & Pacific, Europe, Middle East & North Africa (MENA), plus the fundraising, account management, network support and coordination provided by headquarters units in Copenhagen and Geneva.

Corporations, foundations and philanthropists have unique assets and expertise that they are able to bring to UNHCR's operations. Beyond their significant financial support, they often make in-kind contributions of goods, services and expertise and sponsor innovative projects.  Furthermore, they contribute to building awareness of and sympathy for the refugee plight, generating opportunities to reach new audiences on a large-scale, including through employee and customer engagement. However, as they move beyond philanthropic giving to more dynamic types of support, these partners require more in-depth engagement, staff expertise and tailored relationship management to foster a broader understanding of UNHCR's operations to cultivate the partnerships to maximize their potential impact.

The Corporate team in Copenhagen HQ is set up to drive partnerships and income growth from major corporates and corporate foundations. The Corporate team will lead the development of these areas and support National Association Partners and UNHCR country offices to grow this income stream and develop relationships at a global level.

The Corporate Relations Officer (PPH) will be working in a small team under the supervision of the Snr. Corporate Relations Officer, to manage the implementation of the PSP and PPH strategies and support the PSP global network to raise funds from new and existing corporate and corporate foundation partners. Copenhagen is classified as a Category H duty station with all amenities and excellent infrastructure.
