The Recruitment Centre of Expertise (CoE), Division of Human Resources supports the business objectives of UNICEF by providing content expertise related to recruitment and talent acquisition and more importantly, delivers talent acquisition solutions and strategic talent management support that is tailored to the business needs of the Organization.  In this context, the Recruitment CoE seeks the services of a junior consultant to support the implementation of key initiatives, preparing process maps related to recruitment and talent management, conducting data analysis and drafting, reports, preparing tools, drafting internal guidance and developing material relating to recruitment, sourcing for hard to fill roles, supporting full cycle recruitment activities as requiredand collaborating with other unite on key projects. Collaborating with other units on key projects.

How can you make a difference?

The Recruitment Centre of Expertise (CoE), Division of Human Resources supports the business objectives of UNICEF by providing content expertise related to recruitment and talent acquisition and more importantly, delivers talent acquisition solutions and strategic talent management support that is tailored to the business needs of the Organization.  In this context, the Recruitment CoE seeks the services of a junior consultant for the following activities:

  • Supporting implementation of key initiatives
  • Preparing process maps related to recruitment and talent management
  • Conducting data analysis and drafting reports
  • Preparing tools, drafting internal guidance and developing material relating to recruitment
  • Sourcing for hard to fill roles
  • Supporting full cycle recruitment activities, as required
  • Collaborating with other units within the Division on key projects

The consultant is expected to undertake other duties as needed and assigned by the supervisor. Exact tasks may be added or modified throughout the assignment, depending on the CoE workload and emerging priorities.  The consultancy is for 6 months, and the start date is 28 December 2018.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in HR management, business administration, social sciences, education or related field is required.
  • At least one year of relevant professional work experience 
  • Fluency in English is required (verbal and written). Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.

  • Knowledge of current theories and practices in human resources management
  • Good ability to articulate clear and concise ideas and concepts in written and oral form
  • Good writing and analytical skills
  • Works effectively on multiple assignments simultaneously and adapts to changing demands and circumstances
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and build relationships
  • Knowledge of a major platform e-Recruitment system is an asset
  • Knowledge of relevant computer systems and applications;
