Job Description

With the guidance of the Deputy Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant is responsible for day-to-day scanning, filling, and photocopying documents related to the KFW grant.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of Finance policies and procedures.
  • Process payments through preparation of checks and bank transfers after submission of complete supporting documents.
  • Review supporting documents for payments to beneficiaries and KFW grant ensuring they are complete and in compliance with IRC and donor guidelines.
  • Organize and maintain an efficient and effective filing system for all financial and other documentation.
  • Scanning & photocopying documents related to the KFW grant.
  • Provide assistance during audit process with timely provision of selected documents.
  • Handle checks for suppliers, and/or verify payment recipients, and follow up on the check receipts.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Advanced Diploma in Accounting from recognized College/Institution (or degree)
  • A minimum of 1 year relevant experience in finance or administration
  • Computer literate with some experience in excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal (English & Arabic).
  • Team player.
  • Can work in stressful environment.

Key Working Relationships:

Position: reports to Deputy Finance Manager.

Position directly supervises:  N/A

Technical-Reporting/A

Other Internal and/or external contacts: describe the nature of departments or groups the position influences or requires support from to accomplish objectives.

Internal: Finance Department.

External:  N/A.

Working Environment/Travel and other requirements: Staff will be based in Ashrafieh office.
