Challenge Day has been at the forefront of middle and high school cultural transformation for over 30 years with its potent social-emotional learning programs that directly confront bullying, sexism, racism, homophobia in schools as well as the myriad of challenges kids face at home and in their communities. Challenge Day is seeking a bold leader, who is passionate about positively impacting the lives of hundreds of thousands of middle and high school students.
Challenge Day lives its values by creating a highly diverse, affirmative work environment that encourages full expression of each team member. CD fosters an environment of open transparent communication and co-creative process with regular upwards and downwards feedback. Because of the highly impactful emotional work CD does in schools and during weekend workshops, CD seeks an ED that shares a personal commitment to growth and change. CD seeks to bring its programs wherever they are needed and to be a thought leader on issues from social-emotional learning to creating school cultures based on affirmation and cooperation. CD recognizes that the incoming ED should have solid experience in scaling an organization that is public facing.
