Background
Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing support to projects implementation, guaranteeing quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supporting planning, monitoring and evaluation activities of the projects, in articulation with the Project Manager and the Programme Analyst.
- Develop communication content, generate knowledge and disseminate information.
- Summary of Key Functions:
- Providing support to projects implementation, guaranteeing quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provides administrative and opperational support on implementation of projects;
- Assist in projects financial resources management, human Resources Management, efficient procurement and logistical services;
- Supports the elaboration of projects related Terms of Reference;
- Participation in selection processes for Letters of Agreement signature, as well as undertake activities related to LoAs monitoring;
- Participates in consultants selection panels;
- Support to follow-up on project auditing issues;
- Follow-up, on a daily basis, with project partners and donors, to guarantee smooth implementation of administrative and operational activities of the project;
- Elaboration of project revisions in Atlas system;
- Undertake other project related ATLAS transactions, in line with project assistant profile;
- Maintain up-to-date files and records of project documentation;
- Provide logistical support for workshops and other meetings as tasked by the project manager;
- Process project-related travel arrangements;
- Prepare project revisions in Atlas system, in articulation with the Programme Assistant;
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Support the elaboration of project work plans;
- Support the elaboration of project procurement plans;
- Support the organization of project reviews/tripartite meetings;
- Support the timely preparation and submission of progress reports, donor reports, project reviews, financial reports, audit reports and any other required project reports;
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Develop communication content, generate knowledge and disseminate information.
- Support the development of content and training materials related to projects;
- Systematize the knowledge generated in the activities of projects;
- Develop pieces of communication, informative content and other communication materials, in articulation with programme analyst, project manager and UNDP communication Unit;

Required Skills and Experience
- University degree, preferably in communication, administration, social sciences, international relations, or related area;
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant, practical working experience in development projects or communication related activities;
- Experience working with government counterparts;
- Experience in the areas of volunteerism will be considered;
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
- Proficiency in Portuguese;
- Working knowledge in English.
