Programme Associate (SCOPE) (El Geneina Area Office West Darfur State) – SC L6

At WFP, we are looking for a talented Programme Associate (SCOPE) to support our Programme Unit in El Geneina Area Office, Sudan, to be hired on a Service Contract at the SC L6 level.

Key Accountabilities:

. Liaise with ICT and SOs for the implementation of the SCOPE registration and distributions;

· Examine the beneficiary master list before SCOPE registration including duplications of beneficiaries and ration card numbers;

· Review and clean the registered beneficiary data in SCOPE

· Coordinate with VAM unit to update and synchronize with the beneficiary master list

· Support preparations for SCOPE distribution

· Coordinate with SOs for enrolment of beneficiaries for targeted activities in SCOPE

· Analyze the redeemed beneficiaries to identify continuous absentees

· Engage in cross-functional discussions/coordination required to operationalize the SCOPE registration especially SOs and ICT

· Track all the issues related to SCOPE registration and implementation

· Lead the preparation of accurate and timely reporting on SCOPE progress that enable informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders

· Support the identification, development and management of potential partnerships to collaborative working leading to improved SCOPE registration

· Orient the CPs staff who are involved in the SCOPE registration process

· Perform any other related duties.

Standard minimum qualifications:

  • This vacancy is open only to Sudanese Nationals or individuals authorized to work in Sudan according to Sudanese regulations. 
  • Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible work experience in technical teams is desirable.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.

Desired qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Tact, courtesy and good communication skills to give and receive information and work with a variety of individuals with different national and cultural backgrounds in a team environment.
  • Proactive working style and ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify or escalate problems requiring attention.
  • Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word and SAP.
  • Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.
  • Holding an English language proficiency certification is an asset.
