CONTEXTUAL BACKGROUND Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee (www.rescue.org) is a world leader in relief, rehabilitation, protection, post-conflict development, resettlement services and advocacy for those uprooted or affected by violent conflict and oppression. IRC is working in several Iraqi governorates including Anbar, where it recently expanded to West Anbar. Job Overview/Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Anbar Field Coordinator, the Field Operations Senior Officer is responsible to provide support and assistance to the IRC staff in matters related to Administration, Procurement, Security, Fleet Management, Assets and Logistics. The duties of the Field Operation Senior Officer are as summarized below: Major Responsibilities: Admin/Procurement: Asset Management: Security: Fleet Management: Logistics: Key Working Relationships: Position supervises: Drivers, Cleaner and guards Position Reports to:Field Coordinator - Anbar Other Internal and/or external contacts: Internal: West Anbar WPE Senior Officer, Protection monitors and Lawyers External:Vendors and local authorities Standards of Professional Conduct: The IRC and IRC workers must adhere to the values and principles outlined in IRC Way - Standards for Professional Conduct.
