INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

 


IDLO internship programs are designed to provide a mutually beneficial relationship between IDLO and university students, young graduates, post-graduate students, or persons similarly situated (collectively referred to as Interns). IDLO offers interns an exceptional learning experience in an international organization and increases their awareness and knowledge of legal issues in the development arena. Internships also benefit IDLO by allowing participants to contribute their skills and competencies to the realization of IDLO’s strategic goals and mission. Interns are fully involved in the work program of the Unit or Department that has selected them to carry out assignments relevant to their studies and experiences under the supervision of IDLO staff.

THE INTERNSHIP


The Human Resources and Office Services Department is the central management and coordinating function for Human Resources delivery as well as building an organizational culture of learning, security and continuous improvement. It is responsible for the implementation of IDLO’s global Human Resources’, Office Services’ and Security management initiatives, reforms, policies for all IDLO Offices field and non-field locations in line with organizational strategy.


 The HR Operations Unit oversees a high volume and time critical service delivery to internal clients and stakeholders in a multicultural environment.

 

 


The key results in the implementation of a new HR Management System will have an impact on the overall efficiency in human resources management and overall improvement of services for all IDLO employees. 

 

 

With immediate effect for 2-3 months, under the supervision of the Head, HR Operations, the incumbent will be assigned, but not necessarily limited, to the following duties:

 

 


 

Data-entry

  • Support back-log and current data entry for a new HR Management System to be implemented at the end of Spring, 2019;
  • Follow up with IDLO Country Offices to collate required information for data-entry; 

 

Database analysis

  • Support database analysis and perform actual modification and updates;
  • Support the creation of activity reports;
  • Other similar duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

        

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

 


 

The ideal candidate should possess the following requirements:


  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate course of study at a University or equivalent higher education;
  • Proficient experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, predominantly Excel and Word;
  • Strong command of written and oral English.
  • Excellent level of attention to detail
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced international environment, working both independently, as well as acting as a strong team player.
