How can you make a difference?

The fundamental mission of this post is to position UNICEF as a partner of choice within the corporate sector (Small and Medium Enterprises) to create lasting relationships that would bring increased income and make a significant impact on children in Croatia and elsewhere. This post is expected to develop a plan and build pledge support within this segment, develop new income opportunities from SMEs sector.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES and DUTIES & TASKS

1. Contributes to development of overall strategy for SME segment

  • Further develops framework for SME programme and timeline

2. Manages relationships and devise engagement opportunities and collaborations for SMEs and site vendors   

  • Creates and proposes content for existing and new partnerships and manages contracts

3. Manages and coordinates organization of activities related to the annual sport event

  • Manages external suppliers involved in the annual sport event and coordinates internal activities

4. Explores new business solutions, fundraising mechanisms and innovative fundraising platforms

  • Explores options and liaises with providers for engagement with perspective donors, tests the model and proposes optimisation steps

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • A secondary education combined with a qualifying number of at least 7 years of relevant professional experience in areas concerning private sector, such as sales, product development or marketing communications will be considered in lieu of the university degree (preferably in economics, communications or related field) combined with a qualifying number of at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Fluency in English and Croatian is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) including internet navigation is required
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset
  • Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment is considered as an asset
  • Initiative, passion and commitment to UNICEF’s mission and professional values is highly desirable.
