Your team

Within the Network Management Directorate, EUROCONTROL’s Institute of Air Navigation Services (IANS), which is part of NMD, delivers unique high-quality training courses including eLearning and online courses, tools and services in air traffic management (ATM) to support various actors in the aviation community.

Your role

You will perform the following tasks under the responsibility of your superior:



  • propose storyboards based on inputs from various specialists (e.g. project managers, experts, etc.) and course outlines;

  • develop web based content using HTML, CSS and JavaScript;

  • build e-learning courses in the EUROCONTROL Training Zone;

  • contribute to the maintenance of the e-learning technical framework;

  • edit filmed footage (including sound editing, transition techniques, stabilising images) using the Adobe Suite (especially Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition);

  • record and edit voice-over footage in a sound studio;

  • design 2D digital graphic animations;

  • support the eLearning development team with testing of eLearning courses;

  • contribute to design meetings with multimedia expertise;

  • support the eLearning development team with any activities that may arise;

  • perform any other tasks in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies


  • Post-secondary education (e.g. Bachelor’s degree) attested by a diploma in multi-media design or development, or equivalent professional experience.

  • In addition, a minimum of one year relevant experience.

  • Experience in HTML (to be demonstrated through the submission of an online portfolio).

  • Experience in CSS and JavaScript development.

  • Experience in the use of Adobe Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition).

  • Understanding or experience of basic film editing and 2D digital graphical animation skills (to be demonstrated through the submission of an online portfolio).

  • Knowledge of the ATM environment would be an advantage.

  • At the closing date of the notice of competition, internal candidates must have completed their probationary period.

  • The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 3 Year(s) pursuant to the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. The contract may be renewed. Before being established in the post, he/she will be required to provide certified copies of his/her degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months.

  • The successful candidate shall be appointed in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades.
