KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Support designing and building the Field Innovation Hub local innovator support schemes (Mentoring, Micro grants and Connecting).
  2. Run and maintain the Field Innovation Hub local innovator support schemes; from sign up through all subsequent funnel stages
  3. Own the Innovation Hub contact database and grow and maintain the local community (local startups and innovators, private sector companies, public institutions, academia and experts)
  4. Own the Innovation Hub communications and eco-system community engagement, in close collaboration with the WFP CO communications departments: set communications strategy, design and deliver campaigns across multiple channels (email, social media, WhatsApp and offline)
  5. Organize a series of small events (Failure Festivals, Co-founder speed dating, Expert sessions, etc) to promote SDG2 and SDG17 in the local innovation eco-system
  6. Interface with and support all other innovation hub activities in case interaction with the community is required.
  7. Organizing, promoting and supporting to deliver other Innovation activities, such as bootcamps, challenges and events.
  8. Interface with and manage all related internal CO processes (Procure to Pay, Lead to Opportunity, Order to Cash)
  9. Support other Innovation Hub projects and activities on an as-need basis. 

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Advanced University degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Social Sciences or other field relevant to innovation; or First post-high school degree or diploma with additional related work experience and/or trainings/courses.  

Language: Fluency (level C) in English language and the duty station’s language: Kiswahili.

EXPERIENCE

  • The candidate should have at least two years of relevant experience in managing a diverse and professional community or a comparable experience in marketing / communications where interaction with people was an essential component
