Your team

Within the Office of the Director Generalthe Corporate Communications Service is responsible for providing cost-effective, forward-looking and timely communications solutions that contribute in a measurable way to the Agency’s mission, activities and reputation.

Your role

You will perform the following tasks under the responsibility of your superior:



  • To design and create storyboards and script outlines for animations and videos;

  • To create custom animation and motion graphics for a wide range of elements including icons, maps, logos, graphs, and images;

  • To shoot and edit video footage and deliver finalised video products;

  • To work with editors and designers to provide ideas, techniques and solutions to technical and/or design issues related to animation and video;

  • To work and create independently, but also interpret, execute and improve upon other team members’ concepts and ideas;

  • To present the creative vision and business thinking behind concepts in a coherent and inspiring manner;

  • To ensure compliance with the organisation’s guidelines, deadlines and design standards;

  • To perform any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies


  • Completed university studies of at least 3 years or where justified in the interest of the service, professional training or experience of an equivalent level. Bachelor of Arts, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Motion Graphics or comparable field experience would be an asset.

  • In addition to the above, minimum 1 year of relevant working experience

  • Experience in developing visual communications outputs (animations/videos/motion graphics) for personal or professional purposes

  • Experience in developing scripts and storyboards

  • Experience in the use of digital technology, graphics and editing software such as Adobe Suite Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects

  • Strong awareness of the latest visual trends and technology

  • An existing online presence in the field of video/animation creation or demo reel of previous motion design work would be an advantage

  • Communication: Expresses information and ideas effectively

  • Team work: Fosters teamwork

  • Planning and organising: Displays an organised and methodical approach

  • Customer focus: Responds effectively to customer enquiries

  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment

  • Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviours of the Agency i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team-player approach

  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular post, thorough knowledge of English (written/oral) and satisfactory knowledge of French to the extent necessary to the performance of the described duties are required.

  • The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 3 Year(s) pursuant to the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. The contract may be renewed. Before being established in the post, he/she will be required to provide certified copies of his/her degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months.

  • The successful candidate shall be appointed in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades.
