Consultancy Pricing Policy for Products and Services

Nairobi (Kenya)

Purpose of the assignment
Within this assignment, GKCD calls for bids for facilitation the of:


1.     Establish Prices and Conditions for the Key Products and Services of Narok CETIC

2.     Develop Products and Services Pricing Policies for Narok CETIC

3.     Develop a financial sustainable strategy for engagement of freelance trainers in CETIC



Terms Of Reference (TORs)

The detailed ToRs of this assignment in Narok CETICs include:

a) Technical Details

1.     Establish sustainable prices for key products and services for Narok CETIC. This will entail the following:

1.     Establish the Charges (Prices) for Key trainings offered by CETICS to the local market. These trainings are:

a)     Governance and Leadership for Non-SACCO Co-operatives / SACCOs

b)     Financial Management and Book-Keeping for Non-SACCO Co-operatives / SACCOs

c)     Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship

d)     Strategic and Business Planning

2.     Develop a matrix on how to price outsourced Consultancy Services/Products and Information Dissemination services including a non-static master “Price determination template” featuring the specifics of relevant CETIC pricing components to be multiplied to other CETIC in the future

3.     Professional development Products and Services Pricing Policies for Narok CETIC respecting the local market environment of CETIC Narok and target group of CETIC in an inclusive manner with CETIC Management and Board aiming financial sustainability of the Center by the end of 2020

4.     Develop a sustainable, financial strategy for engagement of freelance trainers in CETIC ensuring cost coverage and profit share between CETIC and freelance trainer

5.     Work and in hand with the development team for strategic and business plan for CETIC

6.     Describe the relevant Methodologies of how to determine the prices for the above mentioned products and services

7.     Capacity development for CETIC to maintain and adjust their pricing documents in the future (Theoretic lesson as well as on the job training)

8.     Structure the deliverables (capacity development measures as well as actual document development) in a sensible way following a 3 times 10 working days scheme

9.     Submit progress report on the developments made within each part of the assignment

10.  Submit final report reflecting the overall activity 


b) Financial  Details

Prepare comprehensive separate Financial Proposals (budget) considering all technical details as spelled out above. The place of assignment is CETIC Narok. A one day introduction meeting at the project HQ in Nairobi shall be factored in.


NB: The comprehensive separate Financial Proposals (budget) should show your professional fees and the final cost of printing the Strategic and Business Plans documents.


Expected Outputs

1.     Sustainable pricing policy for CETIC Narok in soft copy and hard copy are in place

2.     Non-static master template for Price determination for multiplication in other CETIC

3.     Capacity development materials for teaching pricing development in theory

4.     A sustainable, financial strategy for engagement of freelance trainers in CETIC Narok

5.     Reports on the Assignment

6.     Technical and Financial Proposals in soft copies


Time Frame and Location

3 times 10 working days in CETIC Narok within 2019. Tentative schedule:

Beginning of June 2019                        (10 working days)

Beginning of August 2019         (10 working days)

Beginning of October 2019        (10 working days)


1.     Individuals or those working with the Firms must have at least University degree(Bachelors) preferably in  Business Administration/Management, Marketing or related fields;

2.     Individuals and/or firms must have at least 3 years’ practical experience in product development and pricing

3.     Experience in similar assignments will be  an added advantage

4.     At least 3 references of  similar assignments which have been undertaken

5.     Proven understanding of the Training and Consulting Businesses

6.     A demonstrated financial capacity to undertake the job using own resources until an agreed milestone is achieved as the installment payments will be based on achieved milestones
