ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

These jobs are found in Headquarters (HQ), Regional Bureaux (RBs) and Country Offices (COs) and Area/Field Offices. Job holders report to Logistics Officer, a Head of Unit,  or the designate.
At this level, job holders are expected to take responsibility for completion of a range of processes and activities requiring some interpretation of standard guidelines/practices for all assistance modalities for both WFP and logistics common services. Job holders are able to recommend a course of action to staff at various levels and may allocate tasks to other support staff.

JOB PURPOSE

To implement well-defined standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Working on daily basis with the retailers, perform the reconciliation of commodities and invoices. Once invoice is received from Field Office (FO) Logistics Cash-Based-Transfer (CBT)Focal Points, submit it to Country Office (CO) Logistics Officer (CBT) for further review;
  2. Prepare payments on daily basis, create Service Entry Sheet (SES) and ensure release, in coordination with the Logistics Officer (CBT);
  3. Assist in the monitoring of retail payments and provide ad-hoc reports
  4. Certify retailer invoices against the appropriate supporting documentation.
  5. Complete retailer performance evaluations
  6. Provide Cash-Based-Transfer (CBT) updates, data and reports upon request.
  7. Participate as an advisor in the Local Procurement Committee (LPC) choosing retailers in governorates
  8. Support the unit to achieve its 2019 Retail strategy and related KPIs
  9. Undertake micro retailer capacity assessments
  10. Any other duties as required

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic 

Experieince : At least four years of progressively responsible experience in the field of Procurement, Supply Chain, Retail, Wholesale, Economics , program implementation using CBT ’modalities or any related proven experience.
