UNRWA’s human development goals

How can you make a difference? 

You will be joining a team of around 5,000 staff in the West Bank Field Office working to foster the human development of some 800,000 registered Palestine refugees.  

The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Warehouse Manager

The main responsibilities include:

In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures, the  incumbent:

 Supervises the receipt and custody of all goods commodities, and equipment, store in the assigned warehouse; maintains up to date stock control records with particular attention to the accurate recording of goods receipt, stock on hand, and oversees correct prompt input into the ERP system. Oversees accurate processing of ERP transactions in regard to goods receipt. Issuance, stock transfer, deliveries and other related processes in order to maintain up to date ERP records of Physical Status of goods in the warehouse, prepares appropriate  supply documentations conducts regular spot checks to ensure the accuracy of ERP stock date. Issues all commodities as required by the warehouse officer; Supervises warehouse staff assigned permanently or temporary while performing their duties in the assigned warehouse, ensures their safety measures are followed and monitors access authorization for security purposes. Similarly supervises and manages the activities of contractor staff who may be present in the warehouse to make deliveries or collections of goods and make sure that UNRWA warehouses adhere to safety and security regulations are fulfilled by all staff. Is responsible for the management of the facilities assigned. This will include monitoring and implementing infrastructure repairs and upgrade. Ensuring that all assigned warehouse equipment and safety and security infrastructure in operational and effective. Ensuring that the facilities are maintained in a clean and hygienic state at all times. Ensures timely loading and off-loading of trucks received and dispatched to various locations; Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

Conditions of service 

Monthly basic salary JD 673.5 Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable).

To qualify for this position, you will need:

Education

Successful completion of secondary educations;

Diploma in business and office practice or other related discipline

Preference will be given to BA holders in business administration, computer science or any subject related to the above functions and responsibilities.

Work

experience

At least, five years’ experience in storekeeping or logistics functions.

Language(s)

Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
