Data Analytics Internship, Case Management Team, DHR, NYHQ

New York City (United States of America)

The Data Analytics Intern will assist the team in performing statistical analysis of the case management data for reporting; identifying and analyzing demographical trends including, but not limited to, age, gender, occupation in collaboration with other teams in DHR; and developing analytic algorithms and visualization layouts (e.g., graph, tree, map, chart, etc.). We are looking for a technically skilled, detail-oriented multi-tasker who works well in teams. UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential. Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone. And we never give up.

How can you make a difference?

Performance management is a key area in UNICEF’s Division of Human Resource (DHR)’s reform agenda to measurably improve the ability to deliver results for children. DHR launched a performance management culture change that (a) fosters open, honest, and ongoing feedback throughout the performance cycle, (b) ensures consistent, fair, and evidence-based performance appraisals, and (c) offers opportunities for rectifying performance shortcomings. The Case Management team in DHR is tasked to support effective management of underperformance cases in the organization through assistance to managers. The team has set up a case management system to track, monitor and report on cases on real-time basis. The system also supports effective case data analysis.
