Job Description

Background/IRC Summary:

Project Match launched in early 2018 with the goal of placing vulnerable Jordanians and Syrian refugees in formal employment. Focusing initially on Irbid and later Amman and Zarqa, the program will use an advanced algorithmic matching technique to efficiently match job seekers with open jobs and to support them with consistent case management, cash support, and mentoring to ensure long-term retention.

The program has a strong focus on generating evidence on which interventions are most likely to lead to job matches. The program is now on its second year of implementation and has designed the interventions after testing in year one; that will hopefully have the best chance possible of positive results, these interventions should now be prototyped to ensure usability and scalability.

Accordingly, Project Match is recruiting a dynamic, well-organized Assessor with excellent communication and data entry skills to help in communicating and recording communications with project beneficiaries.

Job Overview/Summary: The Assessor will work with the Project Match Research Specialist and supported by the Employment Service Manager and the Cash and Interventions Senior Officer. The two key tasks that will be assigned to this person are (1) conducting monthly and/or 6 week followup overflow calls with beneficiaries using a tablet application called CommCare and (2) sending, receiving, and tracking SMS messages for the psychological intervention using the Text-it tool.

Major Responsibilities:

A.Work with the field teams in Amman and Irbid to support in the overflow of monthly and 6 week followup calls using CommCare.

B.If needed, send, receive, and track beneficiary SMS messages for the psychological intervention Communicate using Text-it tool.

Deliverables

A. the Assessor will be responsible for making overflow calls to beneficiaries on a rolling basis (one month after the date of their intake, 6 weeks after intake, 3 months after the date of their intake, and 6 months after the date of their intake) to track their progress in finding work and other changes in their status. The Assessor will enter this information on CommCare.

B. the Assessor may be required to work with the Cash and Interventions Senior Officer to deliver SMS communications to the project targeted beneficiaries using the Text it- tool. As part of this task, the Assessor would be responsible for exporting beneficiary data from CommCare into the Text-it tool on a weekly basis and sorting the data into the relevant Text-it intervention groups. The Assessor must ensure all communications are conducted in a timely and accurate manner using the Text-it messaging workflow.

C. the Assessor serves as a member of Project Match team, and performs other similar or related duties as required or as situation dictates.

Qualifications

Education

Fresh Graduate preferably with one year experience.

Work Experience

One year of work experience preferably in a call center and/or conducting data entry.

Demonstrated Technical Skills

·Proven competency with information technology and computer skills;

·Excellent English language writing and communication skills;

·Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.

Demonstrated Competencies

·Superior oral and written communication skills, with ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively with senior internal and external stakeholders;

·Strong ability to work effectively across departments and build consensus;

·Established capacity to deal with ambiguity.

Languages

·Professional fluency in spoken and written Arabic is required;

·Fluency in English is strongly preferred.
