Job Description

Job Purpose

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Grants Coordinator and with technical support from the Education Coordinator the GO will support the country office in overseeing the grants management processes and documentation.

The Officer  will:

  • Coordinate the preparation of timely and quality programme and donor reports on project activities in compliance with Donor and internal IRC requirements.
  • Coordinate the report writing process among DFID partners  and IRC at large by receiving, consolidating, reviewing and submitting the donor reports to the DGC and the TCs for reviews
  • Support the IRC program teams and DFID partners in preparing and reviewing spending plans and work plans as per the grants calendar.
  • Assist in tracking the budgets expenditures and commitments in line with the approved spending plans and the work plan for both IRC and partners
  • Actively facilitate the grant opening, reviews and closure meetings and follow up on action points.
  • Regular partner visit and tracking of grant progress to support the IRC meet project deliverables.
  • Facilitate regular monthly BvA review meetings and circulate minutes and close follow-ups of action points.
  • Support in the IRC Partnership Excellence for Equality and Results System with guidance from the DGC.
  • Support the grants team in highlighting and documenting success stories and factsheets
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management team.
  • Mastery of donor compliance and other requirements.

  • Contribute to efficient programs and grants management including proposal development, reporting and grants monitoring roles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Communication
  • Excellent analytical report writing skills
  • Experience and skills in budgeting and budget supervision and management.
