Senior HR Associate - Compensation and Benefits

Geneva (Switzerland)

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is searching for an experienced payroll and benefits professional to join the HR team in Geneva as a Senior Associate. This role is offered on an 8 month, fixed term contract basis for maternity cover.

GAIN is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. In particular, we aim to make healthier food choices more desirable, more available, and more affordable. GAIN’s mission is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially those most vulnerable to malnutrition.

Working as a key member of the HR team, the Senior HR Associate will provide an effective and comprehensive HR service to managers and employees. This role will have a strong focus on the areas of employee lifecycle, compensation and benefits for GAIN staff based both in Switzerland and our global office network. Particular responsibilities include;

  • Manage and review employee benefits for staff across a range of country offices, including insurances as well as those stipulated by local employment legislation.
  • Manage the entire Geneva payroll in collaboration with the payroll provider (including complex payroll cases)
  • Responsibility for all HR administration related to the Geneva office (communications, invoices, enrolments, entry, exits, work permits, follow-up)
  • Administrator of the HRIS to include; overseeing the system from the front to the back office, ensuring data accuracy, customizing and extracting reports and charts

Candidates for this position must have solid HR management experience with a focus on the employee lifecycle. Experience of managing Swiss payroll is essntial, with additional international payroll experience a distinct advantage. It goes without saying that you will also have a broader HR generalist background and be well versed to working within a multi-national, multi-cultural environment.
