Organizational Settings
The Office of Evaluation (OED) of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) undertakes a range of different evaluations, from a contained project to a wide strategic focus. OED has a team of more than 30 evaluators, leading and managing more than 30 evaluations per year. Most evaluation contexts require mastering specific techniques and skills related to data collection, analysis or reporting to allow generating credible evaluation and evidence-based findings, and considering usual limitations in data availability or accessibility.
Reporting Lines
The consultants will work under the direct supervision of the OED learning coordinator and under the overall responsibility of the Director of the Office of Evaluation (OED).
Technical Focus
OED holds periodic training sessions for its staff, to increase the office’s collective skills base and improve performance. OED internal training sessions take place 2-3 times a year, based on 2-4 days for each session.
