Job Description
Background/IRC Summary: The IRC has a rich history of assisting refugees to apply for U.S.
resettlement, from its founding in 1933 to help vulnerable individuals escape
Nazi-occupied Europe, to pioneering the Joint Voluntary Agency which assisted
Indochinese refugees for 22 years, to operations in Croatia, Sierra Leone and
Sudan. Over the years, IRC has processed some half million refugees worldwide
for U.S. resettlement.
Based in Bangkok with four field
offices in Thailand and Malaysia, the IRC Resettlement Support Center (IRC-RSC)
assists persons throughout East Asia seeking permanent resettlement in the
United States. Operating in fifteen countries, the RSC prepares refugee
applications for the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, provides information to
resettlement agencies about arriving refugees and offers cultural orientation
training to those refugees bound for the U.S
Job Overview/Summary: The Case Processing Officer (CPO) is responsible for daily
prioritizing and completing arrangements and quality control of required
documentation before packaging the Travel Packets. This position ensures Travel Packets are
completed and deliver to the external partner (IOM) in a timely manner. Also need to communicate with other sections
relating to all above issues. This
position reports to a Case Processing Manager.
Major Responsibilities:
-Prioritize and complete assigned tasks, primarily Post USCIS cases for refugees ready for departure
-Implement complete quality control to ensure all required documentation be displayed on the Scanned image in WRAPS and physical file before packaging the Travel Packets.
-Ensure assemble all required documentation in appropriate order before pass physical file to Senior Case Processing Officer for final QC and
sealing Travel Packets.
-Ensure workload completion and deliver to the external partner (IOM) in a timely manner, or otherwise keep supervisors advised of workload challenges.
-Maintain clear channel of communication to effectively reports supervisors and external partner as assigned.
-Provides statistics on workload when required.
-Maintain current and accurate case information according to SOP, OGM and guideline.
-Assist with document management, including printing, copying and filing.
-Assist with other basic administrative and clerical support tasks as needed.
-Other duties as assigned such as Post Update, Scanning, and Medical.

Requirements:
Education: University Degree
Work Experience: Minimum three year’s work experience
of refugee resettlement.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
Ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manages time, and meets deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills, flexible, attention to details and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ability to take direction from supervisors and cooperate with teammates.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, and WRAPS.
Language Skills: Bilingual

Working Environment: This position is
located at the RSC office in Bangkok and is primarily office based. The employee is required to adhere to “The
IRC Way” for professional conduct, as well as to be in compliance with all
relevant IRC and donor policies and procedures while carrying out his/her
duties.
