The Senior ABAP/Web Dynpro developer will develop system enhancements for the mWIMS project in SAP Logistics modules using ABAP and Web Dynpro technologies.

The overarching strategic goal of UNICEF’s Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD) is to transform and build partnerships with our stakeholders to successfully implement UNICEF programmes globally through the use of innovative technology-enabled solutions.

This consultancy is situated within the Solutions Centre and Support in ICTD.  One of the Centre’s goals is to provide adequate, user-friendly, and modern business solutions to UNICEF’s different departments and stakeholders as well as providing guidance, governance, and procedures to several enterprise processes such as data collection, program monitoring, digital tools and platforms, and business process optimization throughout the organization.

How can you make a difference?

The Senior ABAP/Web Dynpro developer will develop system enhancements for the mWIMS project in SAP Logistics modules using ABAP and Web Dynpro technologies.

mWIMS is UNICEF’s project to develop and roll out a mobile warehouse and inventory management solution. This project is part of the global warehouse strategy aimed at creating warehouse and inventory management excellence and optimization in our warehouses worldwide.

This consultancy will be for a period of 3 months.

Key Tasks and Deliverables:

  • ABAP development of RICEFW objects in SAP Logistics modules, to complete the required development as per approved change requests;
  • Development and maintenance of Web Dynpro applications and reports using ABAP and Smart Forms;
  • Support and troubleshoot the programs and reports reported as system bugs in Supply-Logistics;
  • Develop new reports or change existing reports based on defects / requirement by the user;
  • Design, develop and maintain SAP Fiori applications; design UI/UX using SAP Web-IDE and use OData services;
  • Document all completed solutions. Create and maintain documentation as per standard established;
  • Under the guidance of the Team Lead, coordinate tasks and activities assigned to the team. Periodically provide status updates and activity summaries;
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to staff members within the team.

Skills and Qualifications:

Academic Degrees: University degree in Business administration, Computer Science, Information systems management or related field.

Professional Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in programming, maintaining SAP applications using ABAP and/or ABAP Objects, Developing Custom enhancements and reports in Logistics modules.

Other Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Experience with design and development of Web Dynpro applications;
  • Experience with SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori applications is desirable;
  • Must be a team player with good verbal and written communication skills. 

Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Additional UN languages will be considered an asset.
