UTF/AZE/010, Improvement of Cattle Production through Establishment of Effective Cattle Breeding and Feeding Syst

Reports to\:

Melek Cakmak, Head of Office

Tasks and responsibilities\:

Under the overall coordination of the Azerbaijan Assistant FAO Representative, in full consultation and collaboration with National Project Manager and direct technical supervision of the LTO, the national consultant on feed production will undertake the following\:

  • Assist the international consultant in training staff, smallholders, and farmers on good practices of production, processing, storage , usage and marketing of feed, fodder and concentrate;
  • Provide assistance in extension services (fodder crops, crop processing, fodder conservation, crop residues, agroindustry by-products and feeding cattle management) in targeted areas;
  • Prepare extension material and technical and other reports, as required;
  • Provide backstopping support for timely implementation of projects activities;
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested by National Project Manager or LTO


Minimum Requirements\:

  • Degree in feed production, feed management, agriculture or other relevant field of expertise;
  • At least three years of professional working experience in livestock projects and rural development;
  • Excellent command of verbal and written English and Azeri language;
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, and PPT) and use of Internet is required;
  • National of Azerbaijan

  • Professional working experience in feed production in similar environments;
