Communication Consultant (NAEL)
The Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications implements the IAEA's Major Programme 2, "Nuclear Techniques for Development and Environmental Protection". This Major Programme comprises individual programmes on food and agriculture, human health, water resources, environment and radiation technologies. These programmes are supported by laboratories in Seibersdorf, Monaco and Vienna. The Major Programme's objective is to enhance the capacity of Member States to meet basic human needs and to assess and manage the marine and terrestrial environments through the use of nuclear and isotopic techniques in sustainable development programmes.
The respective printed and web-based communication products of the IAEA Environment Laboratories are in many cases out-dated and under-distributed. The purpose of the consultancy is to provide advice and support to the Environment Laboratories for updating and improving the integration of web-based communication sites and printed materials, including the division's respective websites, the MaRIS database, newsletters as requested, social media feeds and distribution lists. The consultancy would help produce new multi-media visibility materials necessary to present the Division in a way more appropriate to modern audiences and capture the wide range of outputs of the Division in a comprehensive manner.
