Second Tree is a community-led, volunteer-run, grassroots NGO that supports, teaches and learns with refugees across Northern Greece. We are looking for a new Administrative Officer to facilitate the running of our programs on-site in Ioannina.

In this role, you will be liaising with members across the organisation to oversee the completion of essential tasks and ensuring that Second Tree’s project, administrative and fundraising activities run smoothly. 

Role description

You will…

  • Manage the completion of routine financial tasks, including the maintenance of a clear invoicing system, compiling financial reports, drafting budgets, and ensuring financial records are exceptionally well kept

  • Be responsible for the day to day organisation of office supplies, inventories, relevant IT systems and filing duties

  • Provide grants administration support to relevant team members, including  tracking application deadlines and progress, drafting applications, liaising with relevant individuals and uploading supporting documents

  • Work in conjunction with senior management to further streamline current administrative systems and processes

  • Liaise and collaborate with relevant local and national authorities and stakeholders and represent Second Tree in relevant external meetings

  • Capture and compile relevant MEL data related to the program

  • Ensure overall management of administrative procedures and processes

  • Prioritise tasks effectively and  delegate to others when their support is needed to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner

  • Use essential IT software (Excel, google drive), as well as common social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram)

•    Communicate in English at a C2 level, both written and orally

We offer
