Organizational Setting This position is located in FAO Project Office Peshawar, Pakistan. The main aim of the FAO country offices, which are headed by an FAO Representative, is to assist governments to develop policies, programmes and projects to achieve food security and to reduce hunger and malnutrition, to help develop the agricultural , fisheries and forestry sectors and to use their environmental and natural resources in a sustainable manner. Reporting Lines This position is based in the FAO office Peshawar with frequent travel to the filed. The incumbent will report to the Project coordinator and International Project Coordinator under the overall supervision of FAO Representative in Pakistan and in close coordination with Assistant FAO Representative (Program/ Administration) and Program Officer Resilience. Minimum Requirements
Masters in Agriculture Economics/MBA in marketing /Agribusiness/ value chain development.
Ten years relevant working experience with well reputed government or private organizations.
A working knowledge of the English language and ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams is essential.

Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement
Experience in the development of value chains in high value crops/livestock and farmers group marketing organizations;
Experience in similar settings would be considered a distinct asset
Understanding of the purpose and functions of technical programmes, operational guidelines and programme/project management procedures, preferably those adopted by the United Nations or FAO would be considered an added asset.
Should have an extensive experience in communication and diffusion strategies and techniques, reporting and documentation.
Should possess excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills in both English, Urdu and Pashto.
Priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication, social, and interpersonal skills
Candidates will be assessed against the requirements listed above.
