National Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Facilitator

The National MHPSS Facilitator will closely work with International MHPSS Field Support Officer to mobilise communities to understand, prevent and end all forms of GBV violence. Using an innovative peer educator model, the National Community Mobilizers will start-up and facilitate women's, men's and youth groups to build community activism towards long term social change and the prevention of GBV.

The Volunteer will undertake intensive training of women in leadership through the existing safe space and women's centres to ensure that women are provided with the tools and skills to express their views.

The National Community Mobilizer will work under the direct supervision of the VSO Social Cohesion Programme Manager with additional technical support from the MHPSS Specialist.

The volunteer will be based on one of two sites (Rakhine and Kachin).
