Job Description

The IRC has worked in Liberia since 1996 and is one of the largest humanitarian actors in the country. The IRC Liberia currently operates health programs in Montserrado, Bong, Lofa, and Nimba counties. We have a varied portfolio in health, and women's protection and economic empowerment.

JOB OVERVIEW/SUMMARY:

The Program Assistant will be based at the IRC country office in Monrovia. S/he will assist the Program Manager and program staff to coordinate InSITU program activities. The Program Assistant will support the day to day administration of the InSITU Program office, including scheduling meetings, managing the accurate and timely flow of information.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take meeting minutes and manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage program staff calendars and set up meetings
  • Manage office supply inventory on a routine basis
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Program Manager and other program staff.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least two years’ professional experience
  • Demonstrated coordination, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
