The Programme Section, UNICEF Thailand Country Office is seeking an individual consultant to provide support and collaboration to the local companies and to ensure the smooth operation of the designed activities that relate to the Child-Rights in Business.

How can you make a difference?

The Programme Section, UNICEF Thailand Country Office is seeking an individual consultant to provide support and collaboration to the local companies and to ensure the smooth operation of the designed activities that relate to the Child-Rights in Business.

 

Work Assignment:

  1. Develop analysis proposal (with overall guidance from designated supervisors), including objectives, areas for analysis; list of relevant factors, stakeholder engagement plan, methodologies and expected outcomes.    
  2. Conduct stakeholder engagement to obtain relevant factors to be included in social return investment.
  3. Link the outputs from relevant factors to impacts created by supporting children living in construction site camps.
  4. Calculate social return on investment.
  5. Produce business case in the format in business-friendly style as well as detailed report to ensure that the result can be defended by other social value practitioners.

End Product:

The Report on Social Return on Investment for the Adoption of the Practical Measures for the Wellbeing of Children Living in Construction Site Camps will include:

  • An executive summary that provides a clear, concise of the SROI analysis on the Adoption of the Practical Measures for the Wellbeing of Children Living in Construction Site Camps, with key findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Details of Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology for analyzing the Adoption of the Practical Measures for the Wellbeing of Children Living in Construction Site Camps, especially its worth for value, project costs in the construction site camps, as well as the limitations of the methodology.
  • List of key informant interviews, including. interview guides focus group notes, the outline of questionnaires, information on the stakeholder consultation process, and list of reference documents.

 

Estimated Duration of Contract:  45 working days between November 2019 – 28 February 2020

 

Official Travel: Home-based assignment, with travel to a construction site camps within Thailand.  The consultant will visit UNICEF office for meeting and presentation.

 

Qualifications or Specialized Knowledge/Experience Required:

  1. Holding degree in Economics; Social Science; or relevant fields.
  2. Having at least 8 years of relevant experience in relevant fields.
  3. Able to demonstrate relevant experience in Social Return on Investment, corporate sustainability rating.
  4. Experience in corporate sustainability.
  5. Process a certificate or training record on Social Valuation or Social Return on Investment would be an asset.
  6. Fluency in Thai and English is required.
