Monitoring & Evaluation Intern (f/m)

Limited contract for 9 months as of February 2020, full-time 38,5 hrs/week; Location: Innsbruck/Austria

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for children’s rights. We work in 136 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.
To support us with this important responsibility we are now looking for a committed:

Monitoring & Evaluation Intern (f/m)
(Limited Contract for 9 months as of February 2020, full-time 38,5 hrs/week)

Location: International Office in Innsbruck/Austria

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of the Results-Based Management roll-out project and the AmpImpact project
  • Support effective support (training package) and monitoring, incl. tracking of workshop dates and follow up
  • Prepare quarterly bulletins, manage our blog and wiki
  • Support the Monitoring & Evaluation team in daily tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Social Work, IT or equivalent
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Proactive working style and able to work independently
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience with social media, especially with blogs
  • Comfortable with writing in English
  • Willingness to learn management and IT topics
  • Approach to challenges
  • A valid Austrian working permit or eligibility to work within the EU
