This post is classified F1.

Location

ESA Headquarters, Paris, France

Our team and mission

The Directorate of Space Transportation  is responsible for Space Transportation Programmes and activities related to:

Within the Directorate of Space Transportation, the Management and Coordination Unit is responsible, among other things, for Knowledge Management and the overall management of the Product Assurance and Safety (quality, reliability, safety) activities associated with programmes managed by the Space Transportation Directorate. Its activities are cross-cutting throughout the Directorate.

Today’s priority is to secure the end of Ariane 5 and Vega exploitation and to prepare the transition to the new family of European launchers with Ariane 6 and Vega C. In order to position Europe in this paradigm shift in the global launcher sector, the Directorate of Space Transportation is also preparing future competitive and clean space transportation solutions via the maturation of core technologies, configuration studies, reusability and their demonstration.
