world’s largest standby rosters NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to

NRC in the Islamic Republic Iran
NRC started operations in Iran in 2012. We currently deliver humanitarian
assistance in 9 provinces in the sectors of Education, Food Security and
livelihoods, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Shelter
construction, as well as Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance
(ICLA). We co-lead several technical inter-agency working groups and
provide capacity building to humanitarian partners in country. Next to
our programs, NRC Iran also built an advocacy unit to develop joint
messages and initiatives amongst INGOs to improve rights of the
displaced.
Following several recent breakthroughs, NRC Iran is
scaling up substantially its activities in support of the Government of
Iran efforts towards an estimated 3,6 million Afghans residing in
country and is expanding its programme unit.
About the position: HR/Admin Officer for NRC Iran- (Zahedan)
NRC is now seeking for a dedicated/experienced HR/Admin Officer to achieve
quality support function in Iran. The HR/Admin Officer will support all
HR/Admin activities under supervision of Emergency and Early Recovery Manager in Zahedan.

proven track record of efficient in Human Resource /Administration field
to achieve quality in support function
Generic responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Implement delegated support function portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filing of documents
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
- Promote the rights of refugees and displaced in line with the advocacy strategy
- Identify and report protection needs and gaps, explore and propose new and safer ways to assist
Specific responsibilities
- Overall responsibility of office management and multi-purpose center in coordination with local partners (example: payment of utility bills, office rented contract management, office supplies)
- Ensure compiling of proper individual files for NRC employees at office level in coordination with country office
- Follow up of staff attendance and administration (leave, absence) at office level in coordination with country office
- Support SB team in organizing field visits (e.g., flight booking, accommodation, and other travel arrangements)
- Contribute to documentation and communication of information for internal and external use
- Responsible for recruitment of staff in SB following NRC handbook, guidelines and procedures
- Prepare accurate monthly payroll for NRC employees at office level in coordination with country office.
Generic professional competencies:
- Experience from working as a Support Function Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Farsi
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Ability to conduct multitasks and function independently
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in an admin and HR related field
- Experience in working with Government and familiarity with the environment of INGOs and Local NGOs in Iran
- limited supervision
- Strong ability to provide high quality professional reports and letters in English and Farsi within short deadlines
- Strong relationship building skills
- Computer proficiency including MS office (word, excel)
- Good sense of humor is an asset
Duty Station: Tehran
Contract duration/until: End of 2019 with extension possibility.
