Institutional Partnership Development Advisor (f/m)

30-38.5h/week; Location: Innsbruck/Austria

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for children’s rights. We work in 136 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Mission

The purpose of the position is to support member associations and entities representing the Federation of SOS Children’s Villages International in the development and maintenance of partnerships with institutional donors in order to significantly diversify and augment the financial resources available to support the organisation's programmes, be it humanitarian assistance or development programmes or be it projects related to scientific research, etc.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Supporting member associations of SOS Children’s Villages International in seeking and managing institutional funds
  • Coordinate internal information and approval management for institutional partnership processes
  • Regular communication with the project partners
  • Active contribution for further developing the IPD work area in SOS Children’s Villages International
  • Build relationships and support knowledge exchange with relevant departments at the General Secretariat of SOS Children’s Villages International
Requirements
  • Academic background in a relevant discipline
  • At least three years of working experience with institutional donors (governmental donors, large foundations)
  • Practical experience in Project Cycle Management (ideally throughout the whole project lifecycle, including grant writing and grant management until grant closure)
  • Interest in external trends and developments in the area of development cooperation and institutional funding
  • Awareness/interest on child rights and development cooperation
  • Excellent written and verbal English, in addition knowledge in Spanish, French or German is a plus
  • A valid Austrian working permit or eligibility to work within the EU
