Description of task

Under the direct supervision of Budget Offficer the national UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Assist in reviewing Grant and Non-grant agreements including the preparation of internal checklist and submission the file for clearance;
  • Assist in the awards management process including the review of donor agreements, grants agreement given to a third party and ensuring cost effectiveness of the budget breakdown and in compliance with WHO rules and regulations.
  • Assist in performing award management functions i.e. AAR, ADR, AMR;
  • Assist in reviewing Donor financial reports (FCFS, ICFS and FMR) before submition for endorsement;
  • Assist in validating the Workplan funding requests for approval or rejection before processing;
  • Exposure to all donor reporting and accounts receivable functions;
  • Overview of the HR workplan management and funding gap report;
  • Communication with the BCs and respond to their queries.
Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent Education - Additional Comments:
  • University degree in commerce, finance, business administration or related field would be an asset.
Required experience: 60 Months Experience remark:
  • Five years experience in applying administrative and financial procedures through progressive work in finance and accounting activities.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic.
  • Knowledge of French is desirable.
Language skills:
  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
  • French(Mandatory), Level - Working Knowledge
Area of expertise: Administration and administrative assistance, Other finance, economics and administration related experience, Finance, accounting and audit Area of expertise details:
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles, procedures, and practices
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Delivering quality results in pressing situations and conflicting priorities.
  • Good analytical skills.
