Description

Information System Architect in the Application Services Division, Information Technology Department, Directorate of Internal Services.

Under the direct authority of the Head of Division, you will be responsible for the integrity, security and consistency of the Corporate Information Systems technical architecture, its evolution and integration.

Duties
  • analysing technology, business and technical requirements related to CIS solutions
  • formalising ESA business capabilities into products with their design authorities to organise solution roadmaps
  • designing, integrating and implementing technical architecture of corporate solutions
  • supporting and contributing to elaboration and maintenance of roadmaps for future projects
  • ensuring the integrity, security and consistency of the overall CIS technical architecture and evolution, including interfaces with local systems
  • contributing to project definition, specifications and implementation of new CISs and/or enhancements
  • participating in the assessment and choice of IT solutions
  • technology watch to support understanding of how new IT technologies add value to a business
  • anticipating and bringing to maturity IT projects by introducing appropriate technology
  • advising on how to optimise the use of existing tools and systems
  • making recommendations on development and implementation of technological solutions providing expert support for technology-related aspects
  • design the interface between multiple applications, databases and middleware systems acting as a solution referee to guide the functional solution lead in the product portfolio
  • designing applications according to specific architectural designs to improve overall system performance performing other activities as deemed appropriate to cope with emerging needs in the IT Department.

Master’s degree in IT engineering.

Additional requirements

You must have over ten years professional experience in architecture design and development of large size ERP solutions, system integration, technology watch and trend monitoring.

Knowledge of other technologies is an asset.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
