Job Description

Information Systems intern will play an important role in supporting the administration of USP’s database; ensuring program effectiveness through data management. Data analysis and measurement is one of the IRC’s main strategic goals; keeping our database maintained and users supported is an essential means to that end.

COMMITMENT: 6-12 months starting in October 2019

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administration of US Programs information systems: IRIS and ETO
  • End-user support and responding to user questions and advancing as appropriate to a support technician
  • Updating system documentation as new configuration and improvements are deployed.

Qualifications

  • Current or recently matriculated undergraduate student
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions
  • Interpersonal skills (active listening, patience, positive attitude)
  • Knowledge of or experience with information systems for health and human services or other type of Client Relationship Management (CRM) software is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Customer service standards for user support and database management
  • How to perform user maintenance and other administrative tasks in ETO
  • System documentation protocols
