Position: Director of Operations

 

Reporting Line: This position reports to and supports the Board of Directors/Executive Director

 

About The Role: The Director of Operations ensures that the mission of the organization is

executed with the highest degree of efficiency following the highest standards of ethics and

industry best practices. The Director of Operations takes into account the needs of the

Beneficiaries, the direction of the Executive Director and the Board and the resources currently

available to create sustaining systems and operating practices that provide the best overall

outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all staff and operations

  • Oversee and manage the Housing Program in conjunction with the casework team

  • Oversee and manage the Community Center Staff

  • Recruit, hire and train new team members 

  • Recruit and train volunteers and interns alongside Community Center Director

  • Recruit all advisors and consultant volunteers

  • Review and update budgets for all projects

  • Supervise accounting and reporting functions

  • Supervise the maintenance and improvement of all owned, leased and donated Property

  • Supervise accounting and reporting functions

  • Maintain Compliance with all Governmental and Legal entities

  • Update Policies and procedures

  • Update Safeguarding, Crisis, and Emergency response procedures

  • Monitor and report progress toward short and long term strategic goals

  • Develop and Oversee strategic partnerships

  • Supervise AHC Director, Moms2Moms Director and other projects/program heads

  • Represent the organization at public events such as conferences or symposiums

  • Oversees organization daily operations and long term goals

  • Creation and implementation of logistics department, procurement policy and procedures. 

  • Training and management on procurement and logistics policies 

  • Coordination and collaboration with  implementing partners

  • Support and advise local and international staff with regard to operations issues.

  • Ensure timely reporting and a constant flow of updated information on program support/operations.

 

What you can expect from us: The Board of Directors/Executive Director will be in continuous collaboration with you on operational issues, priorities and growth strategy. The Board will support you with long term planning and partnership on increasing organizational resources. The Development Director will also work closely with you to source funds needed for both budgeted and non budgeted projects.

 

Working schedule

● The hours will vary but will be a minimum of 10 am - 6 pm M-F
